Durham University

Durham University were already won over by Planglow’s labelling services, when they discovered their eco-friendly packaging range, which fitted with the University’s environmental policy perfectly. It made sense to the deputy head of catering, Paul Taylor, to get everything from one place, streamlining his supply chain.

Working with a brand developed by the University, there were a multitude of products to brand from cups and labels, to wrap and salad packaging. Planglow looked at several different visual designs, which were sent to Paul within the week.

The packaging range supplied by Planglow is made from 100% biodegradable and compostable card with a PLA window (derived from cornstarch). The ethical credentials can be clearly seen on the packs, which is popular with students and staff of the University. The new look for Durham is very modern and cohesive, conveying a premium high street image for the brand.
